Flyers will be posted to the Community Bulletin Board so long as they are consistent with the mission and values of Summit Montessori School and the guidelines below. Members of the administrative team will review flyers before they are posted.
Events/Activities can or should be…
- Designed for kids, their caregivers, or of special interest to Summit community members
- Fundraising or free events for companies or non-profits whose missions are educational, social, civic, charitable, or cultural (but not personal solicitations, see below)
- Public showcases of our students at work in the larger community where members of the Summit community can come to support them (i.e. performances, recitals, sporting events)
Events/Activities should not be…
- Commercial notices, solicitations, business cards, job postings or retail activities
- Personal notices of items for sale
- Personal solicitations for fundraisers where individuals are the beneficiaries or products are for sale (i.e. GoFundMe fundraisers, youth direct sale fundraisers like Girl Scout cookies).
- Political materials
- Materials that support or oppose a specific religious conviction.
Items that in the staff’s judgment do not meet the above criteria will not be posted. Postings will remain up on the digital community board until the event has passed or for a month if not event-based. To submit a flyer for review, please email it in JPG format to anash@summitmontessori.org a week before it should go live. The flyer should include all necessary information – no captions will be placed under the flyers.
