Maddy is the new school nurse at Summit Montessori School. She first started working with children when she was sixteen years old as part of her high school’s early education class. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Fairfield University in May of 2022. Following graduation, she spent a year working in labor and delivery in Bristol, Connecticut. While she really enjoyed women’s health, she also really missed working with kids every day. She decided to move to Boston in 2023 and has spent the last two years working at a pediatrician’s office just outside the city. In this role, she learned a lot about pediatrics through her direct patient care and phone triage experience. She is thrilled to use this past experience to support the health and wellness of the school’s children as she settles into the school nurse role this fall.
