CJ’s connection to Summit began as a parent, where the school’s environment sparked a deep respect for the Montessori method and inspired her own professional journey. Originally from Taiwan, CJ moved to the Greater Boston area after earning her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Her professional background includes experience in art education and Chinese language learning, and she is currently pursuing her AMS Early Childhood Credential through the Wellan Montessori Teacher Education Program. CJ has worked at Sunrise Montessori School since 2024.
As a parent of two, CJ was drawn to the Montessori way of life by how it invites adults to become more present and observant. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where children feel seen, capable, and free to explore. Outside of school, CJ enjoys children’s literature, exploring nature with her husband and two sons, and searching for child-approved playgrounds that celebrate the power of play.
