Summit is a dynamic, welcoming community of learners. Our human-centered approach means that children learn through exploration and the work of the hand. Using the Montessori framework provides a robust, time-tested and yet innovative curriculum that supports each child’s development. Every adult in the building honors and respects the children they work with and their unique developmental path. This deep respect for childhood creates an environment that is supportive of learning through exploration, making mistakes, and problem solving and allows children to develop to their full potential.
Our “small by design” program allows each child and each family to be well known. As children progress from 18 months through 12 years they become confident leaders of the school community. Since our opening in 1996, we have grown from a small elementary only program to a program that embraces the full scope of childhood. We remain community oriented and true to our Montessori roots.
